About our Director...

He directs five curricular ensembles including entry-level men's and women's choruses, two advanced mixed ensembles, and the award-winning women's choir Belle Chantique. Mr. Biddlecombe hails from Buffalo, New York, and holds degrees from the Crane School of Music in New York State, and Florida State University, where he studied choral music with Dan Gordon and André Thomas, respectively. Ensembles under his direction have performed at ACDA conventions on the state and division level, most recently at the Southern Division convention in Louisville, Kentucky. He was awarded National Board Teacher Certification in 2007, and was voted Lawton Chiles High School's 'Teacher of the Year' for the 2007-2008 school year. He is also a published composer, with choral works printed by Alliance and Walton Music. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Biddlecombe works with his wife, Mary, as associate music director and organist at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Tallahassee. He is currently a board member of the Florida Vocal Association, and an active member of ACDA, FMEA, MENC, the Festival Singers of Florida, and the Tallahassee Community Chorus.
